Blue Frog is the first restaurant brand being considered bringing the real American burgers to Shanghai beyond those fast-food burgers of KFC or McDonald's.

The first location of Blue frog was established in 2003 on South Maoming Road, which also neighbored with a group of exotic restaurants and bars that were part of the city's only haunts for cosmopolitan foodies or boozers who were seeking discerning international hospitality experiences. When a reforming process of the strip marked an end to this original location, the brand had already made an impressive achievement by opening a couple of new outlets across the city.
