Brazilian Day in Biyun
One of the best things about Shanghai is its diversity. Shanghai is home to people from around the world, and there are often exciting events held throughout the year for people to immerse themselves in the traditions, food, and music of cultures from across the globe.
In the Biyun community of East Pudong, people can access plenty of exciting events, just like they could experience in any other international community.
One such event was the Brazilian National Day celebration, held on September 7, 2019. In cooperation with the Brazilian Community Association and the Consulate General of Brazil, the Biyun Community hosted a day of excitement and celebration of all things Brazil.
A number of vendors served up delicious food and drinks, with grills ablaze, and plentiful snacks and sweets to be enjoyed.
Of course, no celebration is complete without drinks! There were plenty of those going around, including ice-cold beer and refreshing kid-friendly beverages.
In addition to mouth-watering food, there was also a mesmerizing Samba show put on by professional Brazilian dancers, showing off a piece of Brazil's entertainment culture.
